Country Music from the Heart of the Saskatchewan Prairies
ABout Marcus
Marcus Braun is a country musician and producer from the heart of the Saskatchewan Prairies.
As a solo artist, his songwriting ranges from emotionally honest ballads, all the way to uptempo songs that will make you want to get up and dance. His sound is rooted in classic country music, with nods to rock, jazz, blues, and Americana — and of course those catchy melodies that stick with you long after the song has ended! His main influences include Vince Gill, Paul McCartney, George Fox, The Eagles, and Brian Wilson.
As a sideman, he has worked with numerous artists across various genres primarily as a bassist. He was nominated for Bass Player of the Year by the Saskatchewan Country Music Association in 2024.
A skilled songwriter and producer, Marcus wrote and produced the 2024 song “Clovers” for country artist Jesse Genns, as well as produced the 2024 album Voices for Christian artist Kendra Thiessen.
